Modra frankinja

Modra frankinja ripens into first-rate fruit on a chosen sunny site of marl soils. The wine spends a year and a half in new barrique oak (225 l) on its own lees. It is a beautiful deep violet with a rich palate. In the glass: dark forest berries, plum, ripe cherry, undergrowth, and the beginnings of leather, cigar and a fine note of vanilla. On the palate it is juicy, with higher ripe acidity, medium-bodied, fruity and just mineral enough.
